We feel that the commercial and corporate restructuring experience of the directors gives Blackhall a significant advantage in the area of wealth management in order to assist clients build personal wealth outside of their business. The taxation expertise of the directors enables the firm to assist clients who are looking for investment ideas and products that will support retirement planning or succession planning objectives. Many of our competitors do not possess this expertise.

George Stephens is a Fellow of The institute of chartered accountants in Ireland having qualified as a chartered accountant in 1979. George spent 25 years in practice advising clients on all aspects of business, finance, taxation and investments. In recent years, George worked closely with clients who were involved in the disposal or acquisition of businesses, the extraction of wealth from mature enterprises and in the provision of succession and retirement planning.

Anne-Marie Hannon, who is from Mullingar, has an extensive background in the financial services sector. She has a Masters in Financial Services and is a Certified Financial Planner. Having previously worked in the banking industry, for 8 years, she gained exposure to the different areas of banking and the financial sector, i.e. lending, investments and savings. Anne-Marie believes in excellent customer service and that one to one client contact is vital to understand the client’s financial needs and to build a lasting business relationship.
Gerry Cooke, originally from Trim, became a member of the institute of chartered accountants in 1989. He has been involved in the accountancy and Financial Services business in Mullingar since then. Gerry has built up a close working relationship with other professional firms and financial institutions which brings added value to services offered to clients and enables them to obtain the best deal in the market place. He has over 20 years experience in accountancy and financial services and has developed a strong reputation for his expertise in the areas of financial planning, business planning and taxation
John O’Connell, originally from Trim, Co. Meath qualified with a B.B.S (accounting) degree before completing his studies to be a chartered accountant, he is also QFA qualified. John was admitted as an associate of the institute of chartered accountants in 2005, and since then has gained extensive experience in all areas of accountancy, corporate finance and financial services. John provides taxation and financial advice to a broad range of personal and corporate clients specializing in Wealth Management and maximising wealth extraction for corporate clients while minimising tax liabilities.
Geraldine has an extensive background in the financial services industry with more than 17 years professional services.
She is QFA and APA qualified and prior to joining the Blackhall Team, Geraldine worked in Retail Banking and gained valuable experience in Wealth Management
